(i) 5 will not come up either time    (ii) 5 will come up exactly one time

12. A card is drawn at random from a well shuffled deck of playing cards. Find the probability that the card drawn is

(iii) neither a king nor a queen      (iv) either a king or queen

 

 

13. A bag contains 5 red balls and some blue balls. If the probability of drawing a blue ball is double that of a red ball, find the number of blue balls in the bag.

 

14. A box contains 20 balls bearing numbers 1,2,3,4,………,20. A ball is drawn at random from the box. What is the probability that the number of the ball is

(i) prime number?     (ii) not divisible by 10?   (iii) divisible by 2or 3?  (iv) divisible by 2 and 4?

 

15. Cards with numbers 2 to 101 are placed in a box. A card selected at random from the box. Find the probability that the card which is selected has a number which is a perfect square.

16. Out of 300 bulbs in a box, 25 bulbs are defective. One bulb is taken out at random from the box. Find the probability that the drawn bulb is not defective.

17. If two different dice are rolled together. Calculate the probability of getting an even number on both dice.

18. A box contains cards numbered 3,5,7,9,……,35,37. A card is drawn at random from the box. Find the probability that the number on the drawn card is a prime number.

19. A bag contains tickets numbered 11,12,13,….,30. A ticket is taken out from the bag at random. Find the probability that the number on the drawn ticket is 

(i) a multiple of 7             (ii)  greater than 15 and a multiple of 5.

20. In a cricket match Karan faces 50 balls. He hits 10 fours, 5 sixes and remaining singles in his score of 82 runs. Find the probability that on playing next ball he will (i) hit a four
